Barnes & Thornburg Strengthens Entertainment Practice with Three New Hires

Barnes & Thornburg has recruited three music and entertainment lawyers from Nixon Peabody to expand its team. Christina S. Chang and Carron Joan Mitchell are based at the firm’s Los Angeles office, while Farrah Usmani joins the Nashville team.

 

Christina S. Chang started her legal career at intellectual property firm CMG Worldwide. She came on board at Nixon Peabody in 2018 and made partner in 2024.

 

Carron Joan Mitchell first joined Nixon Peabody in 2016. She later worked for nearly four years at Hertz, Lichtenstein, Young & Polk in Los Angeles, before returning to Nixon Peabody as a partner in 2024.

 

Prior to her legal career at law firms, Farrah Usmani handled music and business affairs at a talent agency in Nashville. She joined Loeb & Loeb in 2018, moved to Nixon Peabody in 2021, and attained partnership in 2024.
